An additional SEK 20 million for AI competence

An additional SEK 20 million is invested by the Government in developing a national competence platform and further training in artificial intelligence.

AI Competence for Sweden is a national initiative for education and competence development in artificial intelligence. The Swedish government launched the initiative in June, 2018. The additional SEK 20 million is intended for 2019.

Within the initiative, seven universities work together to create a knowledge platform and offer courses for practicing professionals. The seven universities are Chalmers University of Technology, University of Gothenburg, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Linköping University, Lund University, Umeå University and Örebro University.
