September 7 is the premiere day at Stadsteatern in Stockholm for Fredrik Benke Rydman’s interpretation of Stravinsky’s masterpiece Våroffer. A performance in two acts with both original music and newly written music in the first act of Johan Liljedahl and Carl-Johan Rasmusson. Benke himself participates in the dance with an industrial robot in collaboration with ABB, 20 street dancers and 5000 liters of water.
ABB has, in turn, commissioned Robotdalen to do the programming work for the robot. The robot used in the set is ABB’s Industrial Robot IRB 6620.
